How To Install OPTICAL FLARES In After Effects

In this Blog, I will show you How To INSTALL OPTICAL FLARES In After Effects.

Step 1: Download OPTICAL FLARES

Firstly, download the Official OPTICAL FLARES From the Official Video Copilot website. Please visit the following link to download the official OPTICAL FLARES For After Effects:

Step 2: Extract OPTICAL FLARES

Once you are done downloading the OPTICAL FLARES, You will be provided with a compressed folder or files. You need to extract the files using WINRAR. Search for Winrar to download the latest version.

Once you have successfully installed Winrar, extract the files and folder using it and specify a path where you want to save your files.

Step 3: Install OPTICAL FLARES

Once you have extracted the files, open the extracted folder and click on the INSTALLER FILE to install the OPTICAL FLARES directly in After Effects. The installer will show you some options while installing just press next and OPTICAL FLARES will be installed in After Effects in no time!

Step 4: Create Composition In After Effects

To test the Red Giant UNIVERSE in After Effects, create a new Composition, Go with Default settings, and make sure to rename the Composition to OPTICAL FLARES to follow the naming convention and click on OK to create a Composition.

Step 5: Enable Scripting & Expressions in After Effects

It's important to Enable Scripting & Expressions in After Effects so that we can apply the effects to our Composition. You need to Navigate to the Top Left Corner of After Effects, and Find Edit, and navigate to the Preferences, and click on Scripting & Expressions.

Once you are right inside, Enable the Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network. Click on OK to apply the changes

Step 6: Enable GPU Acceleration In After Effects

It's recommended to enable GPU Acceleration to make OPTICAL FLARES work Properly. Navigate to Files, select Project Settings, and Select USE under Video Rendering and Effects to MERCURY GPU ACCELERATION (CUDA or OpenCL). Apply the changes and click on OK.

Step 7: Import Footage In After Effects

Go to the Project Tab and double-click on the area to import the footage to test the OPTICAL FLARES in After Effects. Make sure to import all files and folder for your current project.

Step 8: Enable Effects & Presets in After Effects

It's important to Enable Effects & Presets in After Effects so that we can apply the effects to our Composition. You need to Navigate to the Top Left Corner of After Effects, Find Window, navigate to the Effects & Presets Option, and make sure it is marked as a tick

Step 9: Apply OPTICAL FLARES To Composition

Once you are done, Open Effects & Presets in the After Effects Panel and Search for 'OPTICAL', you will see the Plugin named OPTICAL FLARES, just drag and drop it on the composition layer or Double click on the Plugin to apply the OPTICAL FLARES.

Step 10: OPTICAL FLARES Applied

Once you apply the OPTICAL FLARES to your Composition, you will see the Plugin Activated and successfully installed in After Effects. That's it.
