How To VERIFY your YouTube ACCOUNT 2022

In this blog, I will guide you on how you can verify your YouTube channel easily in 2022. To verify your channel, you’ll be asked to enter a PHONE NUMBER. YouTube will send a verification code by text or voice call to that phone number.

Youtube channel verification is important because it unlocks many intermediate and advanced features like Uploading videos longer than 15 minutes (longer videos), adding custom thumbnails, live stream, appeal Content ID claim, and many other features.

So, let's learn how to verify YouTube channel.

Step 1:

First of all, you need to go to Settings located at the bottom left side of the YouTube Studio.

Step 2:

Secondly, you need to select Channel from the left tab and after that, you will see 3 options in the channel tab. Basic Info, Advanced Settings, and Feature Eligibility.

Step 3:

You need to click on Feature Eligibility. Now you will again 3 options Standard features, Intermediate Features, and Advanced Features. You will see ENABLED in Standard Features only, the other 2 will be greyed out.

Step 4:

You need to click on Intermedia features and after that, you will see Verify Phone Number Button there. You need to click on Verify Phone Number Button.

Step 5:

A new page will be opened and here you need to enter your phone number, your country, and the verification code method. After that, you need to click Get Code Button.

Step 6:

After that, you will receive a 6-digit code on your mobile number.

Make sure you do not enter the wrong code here, it's important.

Once you enter the code, just click Submit, and congratulations your YouTube channel is now verified.

Step 7:

Now if you back to Intermediate Features, you will see the ENABLED badge in green. Now you are done and can do the following:

Uploading videos longer than 15 minutes (longer videos), adding custom thumbnails, live stream, appeal Content ID claim.

What about Advanced Features?

In order to enable advanced features, you need to have your YouTube channel in a good standard for at least 2 months or you can verify your channel with the Video verification.
